Cloud computing services: advisory

Decide based on evidence before committing to a migration.

Fixed-scope assessments and reviews for companies planning a move to cloud, a second region, a second provider, or an objective review of an environment that grew without a plan.

What we do

  • Work as an independent technical service provider in cloud accounts that you own.
  • Plan, migrate, build and operate, and charge you only for our own services.
  • Recommend platforms and purchase options on technical and cost grounds.
  • Hand back every document, script and configuration we produce.

What we never do

  • Resell or distribute cloud services, or take a margin on your cloud bill.
  • Pay cloud providers on your behalf or issue invoices for cloud resources.
  • Offer white-label cloud, pooled resources, consolidated billing or a cloud uptime SLA of our own.
  • Claim partner tiers, certifications or provider discounts that we do not hold.
You pay your cloud provider directly. Contracts and invoices for cloud resources stay between you and your provider. Our contracts and invoices cover only our services. We currently have no reseller or partner agreement with any provider and receive no commissions or referral fees. If any of this changes, we will tell you in writing before making any recommendation.

02When to use advisory

When advisory is a good first step.

Advisory helps when the next decision is expensive to reverse.

Good fit

  • You are moving workloads from an IDC or on-premises environment to the cloud for the first time.
  • You are launching in a new overseas region and need to decide where and how.
  • Your cloud bill grew faster than usage, and no one is accountable for explaining it.
  • You need an independent second opinion on a proposal from a provider or reseller.

Not a fit

  • You need legal advice or a compliance certification. We provide technical input, not legal opinions or audits.
  • You want cloud resources, discounts or credits sourced through us. We do not resell.

03Process

How an assessment works.

The standard scope takes ten business days from kickoff to readout.
  1. 01

    Kickoff

We agree on the scope, stakeholders, interview schedule and the questions the memo must answer.

  2. 02

    Read-only access

You grant us a read-only delegated role in each account. You do not share passwords, root credentials or owner credentials. See how we access your cloud.

  3. 03

    Discovery and interviews

We create an automated inventory and conduct up to 10 interviews with application owners.

  4. 04

    Analysis

We document dependencies, options, waves, risks and cost ranges against the questions agreed at kickoff.

  5. 05

    Readout and memo

We hold a working session with your team, then deliver the final memo and remove read-only access.

04What we need from you

Access and scheduling.

Most assessment delays come from access and calendars, not analysis.
  • A named owner on your side who can grant access.
  • Read-only delegated roles in the accounts in scope.
  • Interview slots with application owners in the first week.
  • Existing diagrams or documents, even if outdated.

05FAQ

Common questions.

Does a cloud provider pay you if we choose it?
No. We do not have a reseller or partner agreement and receive no commissions or referral fees. If this changes, we will disclose it in writing before making a recommendation.
Can you get us a discount from a provider?
No. Pricing agreements, commitments and credits are between you and the provider. We can explain the options the provider publishes.
Will you sign our NDA before the first call?
Yes. We normally use a mutual NDA. Send yours or request ours through the contact form.
Do you handle MLPS (Dengbao), GDPR, or other compliance requirements?
We implement and document technical controls. We can work alongside your assessor or counsel. You retain legal responsibility for filings and certifications. We are not an assessment body and do not provide legal advice.
